Natalie finally decided that it was about time that she and her husband bought a home. She had been waiting around for him to decide exactly where he wanted to live, but it was just taking too long. For weeks and weeks he had been mulling over whether he wanted to live in an apartment in London, or if he wanted to get a cottage in the city. He couldn’t decide if he wanted to stay in the UK, or if he wanted to move on down to Paris, which was closer to his job anyways. But he still wanted to either have a nice terrace or an in-ground pool, and he couldn’t decide on lilies or pansies in the window boxes, or if he wanted window boxes at all. She was sick of waiting, so if he didn’t hurry up, she was going to go choose a house on her own before his life insurance rate started going up. She wasn’t going to wait until the world was free like he thought that it would be in ten to fifteen years, which she secretly thought he was actually stalling for.

Before she left to go look for a house, she just did a quick check on her own life insurance rate and saw that it was low. She wondered if she should get a little more coverage, because she could afford it, just like she and her husband had been able to afford a home for over two and a half years. But she would rather have a new mortgage rate than a new life insurance rate. Besides, right now she was so upset at her husband that she secretly hoped that he wouldn’t get a penny out of her death, should anything happen. Of course she knew that she really did love him totally, but she was just frustrated with the way that he had been acting lately.

She got into her little car and checked her makeup in the rearview mirror. Again, she looked down at her phone, and then closed the life insurance rate web site. She pulled out of the parking garage and waved to her husband who called a few minutes later to ask her where she was going. She was still a little upset with his laziness lately, so she snapped that she was going to go find a house on her own because he was taking too long.
