In space everyone rides around in rockets. Even those strange people that live on mars or the other terrestrial planets fly around in rockets rather than those rovers. The rover companies all died out because the insurance on them was too high. There were too many teen drivers getting into accidents. Even when the autopilot was running then those crazy kids would find a way to get around them. So the companies wouldn't insure them anymore, and if they did, then the rates would be extremely high.
So came the idea of everyone traveling around in rockets. Flying around in three dimensions as opposed to the two that cars offered gave everyone much more space and a much lower chance of hitting each other. With the new rocket technology utilizing magnets and the planets' gravity collisions have been reduced to none. The only insurance pilots have to pay is their monthly motor trade insurance. The monthly motor trade insurance isn't even a regular kind of insurance. It doesn't reimburse you if you get into an accident because there have been no accidents as long as you get a new motor every month. That, in fact, is what the monthly motor trade insurance does. It ensures that the customer has a new motor every month to replace on their rocket and if not will pay for any accident that happens, no matter whose fault it is until a new motor is found for them. Everyone that uses the rockets loves this monthly motor trade insurance policy. They just hand over their old rocket motor and trade it for a new one and everyting is fine.
But one day someone decided to try to take down the system and not redeem his new motor at the start of the month and instead get himself into an accident with another rocket. He proceded to do this every month without fail. At first the insurance comapny didn't care, but after months and months of this behavior, they noticed how much money they were losing to this man. After all, rockets aren't cheap.
They called him, tried to talk to him when he was getting his rocket repaired, and tried to find him at home but he refuesed to listen to them. They took legal action and did everything they could, but he wouldn't pay up and wouldn't stop wrecking himself.
Unfortunately for him, this risky behavior turned his life in a bad direction. In his most recent accident he got sent to the hospital, and since he was taking down the health insurance system as well, he didn't get treated. Don't worry, he lived, but is in pain and will be for the rest of his life.
Don't be a meanie. Follow the rules.
